Essential Information & Preparation

Essential Information

What to Expect

This is a strenuous adventure that requires both physical endurance and mental resilience. While the trek itself follows well-established trails, the climb to the summit of Thorong Peak involves walking on snow and ice. You will experience long days (6–11 hours of walking) and extreme shifts in temperature.

Health & Altitude

The primary challenge of peak climbing in the Himalayas is the altitude. The itinerary is designed with built-in acclimatization days in Manang to help your body adapt. We recommend:

  • Hydration: Drink 3-4 liters of water daily.

  • Pacing: Maintain a slow, steady "Himalayan pace."

  • Preparation: Focus on cardiovascular training and leg strength at least 3 months prior to departure.

Safety First

Your safety is our priority. Our English and French-speaking guides are trained in first aid and high-altitude safety. We use high-quality climbing gear and monitor weather patterns closely, particularly when preparing to cross the Thorong La Pass or push for the summit.
